University "Ukshin Hoti" will contribute to the making of the German-Kosova Innovation and Training Park in Prizren
The German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ) has published a Feasibility Study for the future use of KFOR camp in Prizren, proposing the creation of a German-Kosova Innovation and Training Park. In this concept paper, it is envisaged the inclusion of the University "Ukshin Hoti" with several important programs. This space with the respective infrastructure will serve for the expansion of UPZ and at the same time in the realization of this vision for the development of the Municipality of Prizren and the state of Kosovo. The University, based on the existing capacities, will contribute to the 5 main priorities that have been highlighted.
The Management of the University "Ukshin Hoti" - Prizren, thanks the representatives of GIZ and the contingent of German KFOR in Prizren for the inclusion of University “Ukshin Hoti”, in this Feasibility Study and expresses readiness and commitment to contribute to the realization of this concept offering full cooperation to the parties involved in this very important project for our country. We as a University can immediately make the first step by implementing what is foreseen in this document. It is mentioned that the courses of study include life sciences, agriculture, food engineering, natural sciences, ICT, engineering, production, construction, and possibly film making. "Given the above course of study, a good address may be the Public University of Prizren" Ukshin Hoti ", which offers relevant Bachelor programs in the relevant faculties: i) Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences in the fields of study of Agribusinesses, Forestry and Environmental Science and ii) the Faculty of Computer Science that provides Information and Telecommunication Technologies and Software Design. ", The study notes among other things.
KFOR camp has always been seen as a good opportunity for UPZ facilitated expansion, while the current proposal by the German Organization for International Cooperation to be included in the German-Kosova Innovation and Training Park in Prizren is a perfect combination. It should be noted that the German state has contributed greatly to UPZ's establishment and development so far, while this will be a major contribution to the development of this University in the future.
