Students shall have the right to establish student organizations, to which all regular students may belong.

Each student organization shall have its own statute, approved by its members, which has to be in accordance with general regulations issued by the Steering Council. The Statute shall embody principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination.

Student interest shall be represented within the University by the following bodies:

• Student parliament on the level of the University;
• Student councils on the level of academic unit.

Members of the Student parliament and of the student councils shall be elected in accordance with the procedures of parliamentary elections.

Student organizations shall have the right to nominate the members of the student parliament and of student councils of academic units on the basis of results of elections in every two (2) years.

Details of the election procedure shall be determined in special regulations, issued by the Board.

The threshold for the nomination of members by student organizations shall be:

For the student councils of academic units 3% of the total number of votes casted on the level of the respective academic unit;

For the student parliament 5% of the total number of all votes.

The mandate of the members of the student parliament and of the student councils of academic units shall be two (2) years without the right of being re-elected.

Student parliament and student councils of academic units shall conduct its business on the principle of majority voting.
