Rector of UPZ, Prof. dr. Dr. Rame Vataj, participated in the Conference of Rectors in Portugal, within the framework of the European Universities' Games 2018.

Rector of University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren, Prof. Dr. Ramë Vataj attended the Conference of Rectors at the University of Coimbra in Portugal, within the framework of the European Universities' Games 2018, organized by the European Federation of Sports Universities. In this conference, 40 representatives of various European Universities attended, where was discussed about the importance of organizing university sports.

On this occasion, the UPZ Rector has signed the Coimbra Consensus Statement on Improving Double Care, evaluating it as a key issue for the education system and for all sports organizations. Based on this statement, higher education institutions should develop and develop a proper dual career environment for students-athletes, including the appropriate regulatory and financial framework, while respecting the differences between sports.

In this conference were also attended by representatives of various sports organizations and institutions in Europe. Together with the representatives of the universities discussed the best experiences regarding the organization of university sports, financing etc.
