Prof. Dr. Ramë Vataj, Rector of the University “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren, hosted on Monday a meeting with Mr.Ross Bull, Executive Director of the Dutch-registered international organization, CNVP. The aim of the meeting was to start discussions that would lead to signature of a memorandum of cooperation between the University “Ukshin Hoti” and CNVP.
Rector Vataj emphasized that he welcomes cooperation with CNVP as a way of helping to increase the capacities of the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences.
Mr. Ross Bull highlighted that, as CNVP wishes to reach agreements with new partners from the private, public and civil society sectors, cooperation with the University of Prizren is very much welcomed. At the meeting, both parties agreed to work on the draft memorandum of cooperation, which is expected to be signed in the near future.
CNVP focuses on building a Greener Economic Environment. It uses evidence-based analysis to improve the sustainable livelihoods of rural communities and civil society affected by the ongoing process of environmental and climate change.
CNVP’s areas of interest cover: sustainable forest management; climate change, environment and natural resource management; agri-rural development; renewable energy and waste management, including transboundary water pollution; community mobilization, civil society and governance; as well as European accession issues and related policy questions.
CNVP is currently active in Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
