Rector Temaj welcomed the Representatives of the University Linnaeus

Rector of "Ukshin Hoti" University Prizren Assoc. Dr. Ismet Temaj, accompanied by the Dean of the FCS, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Samedin Krrabaj and academic staff, hosted representatives of Linnaeus University, Prof. Anita Mirijamdotter and Prof. Arianit Kurti (Project Coordinators), Prof. Kadri Sylejmani and Prof. Eliot Bytyçi from UP and Prof. Krenare Pireva from UBT (DI-PHDICTKES Regional Project Coordinator).

As part of this 3-year project, DI-PHDICTKES (the Development and Implementation of PhD Curricula in ICT for Kosovo Education System), the AFF will benefit multiple times, as follows:

1. Establishment of a national school for ICT research at Kosovo level

2. Development of National Curriculum for PhD students in ICT field

3. Increase the research skills of the academic staff of the KSF

4. Assistance in the accreditation process of the Doctoral Program of the FCS

5. Implementation of the national PhD program, including first-generation enrollment, which will be jointly supervised by Universities in Sweden, Norway and Kosovo (including the FCS)

6. ACF academic staff will be able to be part of mentoring PhD students

At the meeting, Rector Temaj emphasized the University's readiness to deepen further cooperation with Linnaeus University. Rector Temaj explained the variety of existing programs offered in three languages ​​at the University, within the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Computer Science, as well as the strategic plan to open a study program in English as well, in order to promote the exchange of students and academic staff. Following the meeting at the Rectorate, the delegation accompanied by Rector Temaj took a walk on the University campus and visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Computer Science. There, the FCS staff explained the organization of classrooms and laboratories as well as plans for the accommodation of equipment to be provided by this project, in order to make the most rational use by potential PhD students and academic staff. . Representatives of Linnaeus University provided opportunities for continued support to our University, in the form of joint application to various international projects, mainly funded by the European Union.
