University "Ukshin Hoti" Prizren, reaches a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Prizren

University "Ukshin Hoti" Prizren and the Municipality of Prizren have reached cooperation agreements. The agreement was signed by the Rector Assoc. Dr. Ismet Temaj and Mayor Prof. Dr. Mytaher Haskuka.The representatives of the two institutions highly appreciated the deepening of the inter-institutional cooperation. Rector Temaj thanked the Mayor of Prizren for the support, stressing that the achievement of this agreement is in the function of the close relationship of the university with the stakeholders, and in this context the cooperation with the local government is very important for the future of the university. Meanwhile, Mayor Haskuka has consistently supported the university. He emphasized that the key point for the overall development is the connection of education with the economy, while the role of the University of Prizren in this respect is very important. The purpose of this Cooperation Agreement is to set out the terms of cooperation between the two institutions for mutual interest.The two institutions agree that it is in the common interest to assist, promote, support and enhance the level of mutual cooperation between them, in view of the overall educational, social and economic development and professional development of University students.The Municipality of Prizren and the University "Ukshin Hoti" of Prizren will jointly contribute to the development, support and promotion of the educational and vocational sector, the provision of relevant services for this university, the generation of employment and the reduction of unemployment. In this regard, the University of Prizren will provide scientific-professional assistance to the Municipality of Prizren with its services. Municipality of Prizren and University "Ukshin Hoti" of Prizren agree that in preparing proposals and realizing joint projects related to improving the economic and social environment in Prizren, compilation of economic analysis, to regularly submit a presentation sharing and sharing necessary information for project implementation. The Municipality of Prizren will receive on a monthly basis a number of students from the "Ukshin Hoti" University of Prizren to do professional internships in the municipal offices and subordinate institutions.

The Municipality of Prizren will commit itself to providing scholarships to the most prominent University students and those with severe economic conditions, including martyrs' families. The Municipality of Prizren and the University "Ukshin Hoti" agree to exchange their expertise and experience in certain areas that have the capacity of both parties for their needs. Prizren Municipality and Ukshin Hoti University agree to engage a family medicine doctor and a nurse on the University Campus. Municipality of Prizren and University "Ukshin Hoti" agree on the use of institutions and communal spaces for students, such as: Municipal Library, Sports Center "Sezai Surroi", sports fields, municipal cultural institutions, etc .;Municipality of Prizren and University "Ukshin Hoti" agree to cooperate during the process of drafting strategic plans and documents of both parties. The Municipality of Prizren agrees to plan the allocation of municipal spaces and land for the needs of UPZ's infrastructure expansion and for the specific needs of the respective faculties, in accordance with applicable laws.
