Last week the University “Ukshin Hoti” In Prizren, was visited by a delegation of the James Madison University from U.S.A.

Rector of the University "Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren, Prof. Dr. Ramë Vataj, with his staff, on Wednesday 10 May 2017, hosted a delegation from James Madison University from the United States of America. The meeting also included the management of the University "Fehmi Agani" from Gjakovo and representatives of MEST. This visit to UPZ was in the frame of the visits that representatives of this prestigious American university have made to public Universities in Kosovo. The JMU delegation consists of professors: Joanne Brave, Michael Stoloff, Vesna Hart and Ahmet Shala.
Rector of the UPZ, Prof. Dr. Ramë Vataj, presented the history of UPZ, the management structure, the academic units as well as the achievements and challenges of UPZ. He stressed that although the new university has developed quite well. Rector Prof.dr. Vataj added that UPZ is ready for cooperation in the fields of mutual interest.
Also, the Rector of the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, made a presentation of its university. On the other hand, Michael L. Stoloff, an associate dean at JMU, spoke about the further possibilities of co-operation between the two universities, placing greater emphasis on student exchange opportunities for semester or master studies as well as access to digital library so to make more resources available for scientific research.
