Academic Leadership and Improvement (ALIM) Scholarship

ALIM is a non-profit organization supporting successful graduate students to join international conferences and to perform research abroad. The aim of the ALIM Scholarship is to provide an opportunity for brilliant students to present their scientific work, meet peers, establish a scientific network, experience research in another setting and obtain PhD scholarships. Flight, visa, accommodation and conference registration fees up to 1500 USD will be covered for accepted applications. Applicants from any discipline are eligible for the scholarships. 1) Conference Scholarship To apply for the scholarship send us your: - Abstract based on the official conference template - CV that includes contact information of two reference persons - Letter of motivation (one page long) that should include why you are interested in joining this conference, your career goals and ambitions. Eligibility & conditions: - Applicants could be PhD students who are no more than 35 years old or M.S. students or recent graduates with a M.S. degree who are no more than 27 years old - Application for scholarship has to be submitted at least one month before the abstract registration deadline of the conference - Scholarships will be confirmed only after the official confirmation of abstract acceptance. Oral presentations are preferred for the scholarship. 2) Research Visit Scholarships To apply for the scholarship first get an acceptance letter from the principal investigator or group leader of the research group you’re planning to visit, then send: - Research plan to be conducted during your visit and its relation to your current (masters or PhD) thesis (max one page long) - Current research activity (max one page long) - CV that includes contact information of your supervisor and the principal investigator or group leader of the research group you are planning to visit - Letter of motivation that should include your career goals and the significance of the research visit to pursue these goals Web page : http://aliminstitution.org/ e-mail : [email protected] facebook : ALIM-Academic-Leadership-and-Improvement
